Meet The Team
As a child in Virginia Beach Jeff grew up with a love for plants, animals, and the outdoors. His passion for animals ultimately led him into the landscaping business. When Jeff was 12 years old his parents allowed him to build his first pond to house the baby Koi that he had raised in an aquarium from eggs. After rebuilding and changing that pond four times until it was perfect, he was finally ready to launch his first company, Atlantic Landworks at the age of 17. A few years -- and several ponds and gardens -- later, Jeff graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Landscape Technology. Upon graduation Jeff worked for the nation's two largest landscape companies absorbing as much as he could over three seasons. This knowledge formed a strong foundation on which he built Rossen Landscape.
I have always gravitated towards the outdoors, whether it be as an avid mountain biker and skier or in choosing landscaping as a profession. I enjoy all that being outside has to offer and am unable to imagine working inside on a day to day basis. I attended the University of Utah where I studied economics before coming to work here at Rossen Landscape. I am currently a certified landscape technician through the Landscape Contractors Association, a local and nationally recognized organization. Landscapes are diverse and ever changing. The wide variety of plant material and seasonal changes found in all landscapes present constant change requiring detailed attention. As a landscape supervisor it is these details I look forward to addressing on a daily basis while preserving plant health and the balance of the landscape.
April joined Rossen Landscape in 2012 bringing with her a decade of landscape experience. Gardening with her grandmother planted a seed that would develop her passion for flowers and plants. April enjoys the residential side of landscaping, assisting homeowners as they maximize the potential of their outdoor living space. April finds fulfillment in her work when she witnesses her installations, through proper maintenance, blossom as the seasons pass. When April is not beautifying our residential properties, she's spending time outdoors with her husband and two kids.
Jason H Navon
Jason got his introduction to landscaping when he was old enough to mow the lawn at his childhood home. Among other factors, Jason's allergy to pollen led him to seek an indoor profession and his knack for numbers landed him in an accounting class at the University of Virginia. After receiving his B.S. in Commerce (Accounting) from the McIntire School of Commerce, Jason stayed another year to earn his M.S. in Accounting (Tax). These credentials afforded Jason the opportunity to earn his license as a Certified Public Accountant. He put this education to good use during an eight-year tenure as a tax consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Preferring nature's seasons to "busy seasons," Jason came on board full-time with Rossen Landscape in the Fall of 2010. This was not his first exposure to what we know today as Rossen Landscape. That experience came in the summer of 1997 when he had an internship with the fledgling operation, which allowed Jason the privilege to work alongside a 19-year-old Jeff in the backyards/ponds of his Virginia Beach neighbors.
Jesus joined the team in 2009. He brings over 15 years of landscape experience to each of the properties he maintains. Jesus' positive attitude and productivity makes him a leader among his peers. He enjoys working at Rossen Landscape because of the energy and career growth potential that exists in a relatively young company. When Jesus is not maintaining our residential properties, he enjoys playing soccer and flying kites with his wife and three kids.
Arnulfo's love of landscaping has kept him happy in the industry for almost two decades -- and it shows! Arnulfo's consistently sunny demeanor makes him a favorite to work with. Arnulfo likes working at Rossen Landscape because the mission and values of the Company's owner align with his. When Arnulfo is not installing new landscapes for our clients, he enjoys attending church and spending time with his wife and three children.
Felipe is a former farmer who brings well over a decade of experience to Rossen Landscape. His positive attitude and tireless work ethic makes him a valuable member of our team. Felipe enjoys coming to work each day motivated by the camaraderie and support of his co-workers. When Felipe is not working on our residential properties, he enjoys attending church and spending time with his family and friends.
Greg is one of the newest additions to our team; he joined Rossen Landscape in 2014. His young career jump-started after he graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelors degree in environmental science. Greg enjoys working at Rossen Landscape because of the people he works with and the opportunity to learn something new everyday. When Greg is not leading his crew at our residential properties, he enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and sports (including cheering on the burgundy and gold).
Kyler is one of the newest additions to our team; he joined Rossen Landscape in 2014. Kyler has been in the landscape industry for over a decade; being outdoors and working with his hands is what keeps him enthusiastically engaged. Kyler enjoys working at Rossen Landscape because of the high-functioning team environment where everyone strives toward a common goal. When Kyler, who hails from Minnesota, is not maintaining our residential properties, he enjoys the beach, fishing, and watching football.
